I was thinking, wouldn't a couple want something inspiring to read versus reading articles about how to enjoy their Valentine's date or what's the best gift to get for their partner?
Then I realized that maybe inspiration is what the article itself needs to be about.
Often times what really starts to break down a relationship and separates a couple is when they loose inspiration for each other which is often caused when their original vision for their life and future together is blocked or falls to the wayside and gets lost or forgotten.
Without their vision being in sight anymore there is no direction, no drive, nothing connecting the couple together as a joint reason for approaching life together as a united front.
Often when this happens, especially when the partners are unaware that they have lost the vision that gives spark to their relationship they begin to search elsewhere for a spark of life or a mission or purpose or a goal to wake up in the morning to focus their life around.
This search usually ends up with the partner being with someone else who is also looking for a vision and a reason to live for and so begins an affair and if one or both partners doesn't find someone else then they will just fall into a depression or develop an addiction or just loose connection and inspiration to do anything with or for their partner anymore.
So what better gift and what better of an article for Valentine's Day for a troubled couple then the gift and a reminder of a couple's original vision for life and their relationship?
So how does one go about Giving the Gift of Vision and Inspiration?
Here are some suggestions' get a Photo Album or a Scrapbook and put pictures that represent the original vision for your relationship in there including pictures of the two of you together.
You can also include textures such as pieces of cloth to make the Vision feel real or if it is a retirement at a beach include sand or seaweed or shells or if your vision together is to be rich put a check in there or money or coins or plane tickets to your holiday retreat or keys to your new home.
Add scented things like a car decal with the new car or leather seat smell or flowers that come from the location where you want to live or dab a page or two with expense perfume or cologne or a scent that has special meaning to the two you.
You can also have phrases or titles or lines from love letters that you have sent to one another throughout your relationship that is inspiring or describes your vision.
Include a disc with music in the album that has sentimental meaning in regards to your Vision or have this music playing in the background as your partner is going through the scrapbook.
If there is a lot of bulky items in your vision package put the pictures, textures, Cds, shells etc in a gift box and have your partner go through yours and your partner's "Vision Box" instead.
Go through the box, photo album and/or scrapbook with your partner and describe both of yours and your partner's visions and get your partner to describe his or hers as well.
It may seem like a bit of a unique Valentine's Day Gift but it just may be some of the best time spent in preparing for the relationship and life of yours and your partner's dreams together as a couple.
