It's true to say that many younger men, on reaching the age in their lives when pubescence has taken control of their lateral thinking, find themselves fantasizing about older females, often twice their own age and upwards. For example, it's quite common for a young man, still at school age, testosterone flying everywhere, to have the 'hots' for one or more of his female teachers, a neighbor's wife or even a pal's mother.

The term 'Sugar Daddy' was first used in the early 1920's and is described in the WordWeb Dictionary as "A wealthy older male who offers a young person expensive gifts in return for friendship or intimacy". The 'sugar' in this early term alluded to the sweetening role of the gifts, and 'daddy' to the age difference between the pair. There is no mention however, of love, romance or indeed a relationship in the dictionary description of the term, yet it is a fact that women are often attracted, even turned on by men of substance or power. Is it so inconceivable then, that a younger woman could find happiness in a relationship with a guy old enough to be her father, who has so much more to offer her than money and gifts?

Is it because of these men’s inherently good looks, scorching bad boy quality? Or is it a simple case of bad psychology: that women really do not know what’s good for them?

Believe it or not, there is a certain aura that bad boys exude that some women do find hopelessly irresistible.

It is so good to be bad. Or in this case, it is so good to be involved with someone bad. For one thing, there is the adventure. Either some find themselves in their own little thought-of movie or romantic novel that being together or being involved with a bad guy is just plain tempting.

The Bridget Jones saga, both the movie and book version, seem to echo these same sentiments. Why would a woman who already has her gentlemanly Darcy, still find something attractive from a devilish Cleaver? The latter is so mean and so manipulative. While the other is so straight up and sometimes, a bit uptight. So who should a confused woman choose?

Basically, it is – sort of – a fact. Women love the little bad things found in men. Some do so because they love the drama. A relationship with bad men gets most women’s juices up and flowing. A date with them is unpredictable. One minute they may be out on a nice cozy dinner, the next minute they may be in a dark street corner making out. Meanwhile, a date with a straight-up men could be nice, simple, conventional and unsurprising. What follows after a quiet dinner may be a talk, and then some more talk, and a walk. Comfortable, safe and sometimes it might even be romantic. Although some do find such a scenario boring.

Sometimes, a date or a relationship with all the badness found in men is a great topic for a conversation for women the next day. Women love nitpicking every gory detail about their bad, bad men. How they have been bad, etc. However, women also enjoy talking about how their men has been good, in bed that is.

Sometimes, boys that are bad or those who have been bad are referred to as being a wolf, or being a fox. There may be a reason for this term. Both animals are predators. Women should not tread such dark waters, but sometimes they do. Believe it or not, it is the sexual opportunity and excitement that brings women or at least magnetizes them into the waiting arms of a manly predator.

Let us face it. Predators, or rather, men, could also sometimes be charming, if not handsome. No wonder it is so conveniently easy to simply fall head over heels over them. Plus, there is that dream fantasy of most females that they alone have this amazing and almost god-like quality to be able to change for the better all the bad men in their lives.

Fortunately or unfortunately, bad men makes some women feel instantly sexy. This is a stark difference from the guys touted as good who sometimes discourage some of their women to be as goody-goody as they can possibly be.

However, there are certain facts that just cannot be disregarded. There really is, and there should really be no excuse for being bad. Some men are just plain insensitive and no amount of patience, hope, wishing and dreaming could cover up for his badness. Men who are like this - please, please do remember – is not and could possibly be not that sincerely in love with the women in their lives. Believe it or not, they may be more in love with themselves than in anyone else. Try, as much as possible, to not fall for his own professions of his love for you. Chances are, and there is a great chance of this happening, his I-love-you’s may be his way to get what he wants with you.

All in all, dating bad men is good only for that purpose alone – dating. Adventure, sexual or otherwise, is good for the short term. Long term relationships require mutual trust and respect, a little kinkiness also wouldn’t hurt at all.

However, my point is that you should still retain a good sense of PERSPECTIVE when you *do* get into a relationship. What that means is that you’d be just as fine even if you didn’t have a boyfriend at the moment.

Your life was just as fine before you met him, and you can certainly leave if you’re not being treated the way you should be.

Of course, I don’t mean this in an arrogant way nor am I suggesting that our partners should be the pushovers instead!

All I’m saying is that you shouldn’t be scared to leave the comfort zone of your relationship if it isn’t helping your personal growth.

Also, in no way should you cover up your true feelings by waiving your right to SPEAK UP if you need to (i.e. when the terms are unfavorable).

A good relationship is always a TWO-WAY street, so don’t let the low-maintenance myth (or rather, misconception) tell you otherwise.

#2: Falling in Love is Eternal Bliss Guaranteed

The other common trap women fall into is the assumption that those butterfly-in-the-stomach feelings you first get when you meet someone will remain CONSTANT in the relationship.

However, this just isn’t going to happen. Even happily married couples who’ve been together for decades know that their initial infatuation for each other evolved into a deeper and more MATURE sense of loving.

This kind of love goes beyond the initial rush that all new couples go through. This is the love that’s weathered countless emotional storms, power struggles and other CHALLENGES.

The end result is a rock-solid relationship that doesn’t constantly require you to feel the heart-quickening rush found in infatuation.

Of course, I’m not saying you shouldn’t enjoy the moment because being HAPPY is the point of having a relationship, right?

You just have to be aware that things will change eventually. However, you can stay happy as long as you’re cool with having to deal with the reality check phase in due time.

(No need to worry your pretty little self about stuff UNTIL you have to!)

All in all, finding happiness in a man’s arms is best done by keeping a REALISTIC perspective no matter how head over heels you may feel at a given moment.

Without their vision being in sight anymore there is no direction, no drive, nothing connecting the couple together as a joint reason for approaching life together as a united front.

You can also have phrases or titles or lines from love letters that you have sent to one another throughout your relationship that is inspiring or describes your vision.

Include a disc with music in the album that has sentimental meaning in regards to your Vision or have this music playing in the background as your partner is going through the scrapbook.

If there is a lot of bulky items in your vision package put the pictures, textures, Cds, shells etc in a gift box and have your partner go through yours and your partner's "Vision Box" instead.

Go through the box, photo album and/or scrapbook with your partner and describe both of yours and your partner's visions and get your partner to describe his or hers as well.

It may seem like a bit of a unique Valentine's Day Gift but it just may be some of the best time spent in preparing for the relationship and life of yours and your partner's dreams together as a couple.

Should You Romance a Woman on Dates?

- Boy meets girl
- Boy gets girl's number
- Boy calls up girl and sets up the first date.

This is familiar because it's something that almost every guy has done at some point in his dating life.

The truth is we've all been PROGRAMMED to behave this way. In your average romantic movie, the male character wins over a girl's affection by professing his undying love. And if you've ever watched one of these movies with a girl, you'll see how emotional and choked up she gets.

So naturally, it seems logical to think that romantic gestures on your first couple of dates are the best way to attract her interest.

My question is - Should you be romantic when you first meet a woman?

The short answer is NO. And here's the reason why...

==> Men and women approach dating in different ways. Guys pretty much know they like a girl before the date begins. If she's attractive and seems interesting, they're already hooked.

For guys, the first couple of dates is the time where they're obsessed with proving themselves (and maybe get a little action)! And the one way that's been proven to work is to do the "romantic" gestures we see "working" in Hollywood movies.

A date doesn’t have to be expensive. Many guys make the mistake of bringing women out to some lavish, expensive dinner. The fact is there is NO correlation between the amount of money you spend on a date to how successful the date is! You can easily have a fun date, even without spending a lot of money. Below, I will reveal my THREE favorite cheap, but fun, date ideas that any woman would love.

Date Idea #1- Go to the Mall (or Shopping)

As I just mentioned, dating doesn’t have to be an extravagant event. You can easily create a fun date by calling her up one day and inviting her out to go shopping. A date like this is a great way to build “assumed familiarity” and get her to know you on a personal level. Furthermore, shopping is great for avoiding the traditional date where you risk awkward “interview-like” questions.

Date Idea #2- Grab a Few Drinks (or a Cup of Coffee)

Here’s another one of my favorite date ideas. Alcohol has been a social lubricant for thousands of years. You can easily have a fun date, without breaking the bank, by inviting her out for a drink or two. (Or take her to a coffeehouse if you don’t like to drink)

The key here is to keep it to ONLY a drink or two. At this point, the two of you will be relaxed and having fun, without running the risk of drink of getting intoxicated.

And here’s another great tip…Pick a bar that has a pool table, dart board, or other games. These items can help you break the tension and have lots of fun!

Date Idea #3- Do Something Physical

A date can be something as simple as going for a hike or going ice skating. I like a ‘physical’ date, because it breaks you out of the sit-down-and-talk mindset which most guys choose when dating comes to mind. Furthermore, taking her to a park is an excellent way to build a romantic setting while remaining relatively inexpensive.

Cheap fun date ideas aren’t that hard to find. If you use your imagination and a little creativity, you can impress a woman, while not going broke. Just follow the 3 tips above, and you’ll be on your way to creating that spark of chemistry! :-)

1) Don’t continuously tell him how great you think his best friend is.

Men don’t like to be compared to other men whether they know them or not and especially if that comparison reminds them how much they don’t measure up. 2) Don’t wear the kind of makeup that will rub off on his shirt.

You’ll want to give him a hug at the end of the evening if things go well, maybe even a smooch. 3) Don’t act like his mother!

Don't do the kinds of things that will get him thinking of you the way that he thinks of his mother like insisting he take his vitamins or ironing his slacks for him, at least not in the beginning.

So you have found the woman you want to spend the rest of your life with. The problem is, how do you know if she feels the same way about you? You may also be wondering if she's really the one for you.

There are a few question you can ask to determine if the time is right to take the plunge :

1. How long have you been together?

Every relationship has its own unique ebb and flow, but relationship experts have found that it usually takes about two years for a couple to fully commit to each other and begin what's called the "negotiation phase" of the relationship - the period in which you've both gotten to know each other so well that you're battling out what you will and won't live with while trying to hang onto your individual identities.

5. Are you willing to be patient?

If the lady you love really is a commitment-phobe, you have two choices - you can stick around and hope that she'll change her mind, or you can find someone else. If your heart belongs to her and you want to stick it out, then be realistic about what that means.

Dating : It’s a minefield. Men and women are attracted to each other, yet they often understand each other so poorly.

When women talk about their past experiences with men, they are often mystified that things didn’t work out. But when men are polled, they often cite the same factors over and over again as being detrimental to the relationship.

Here are some of the turnoffs they mention most often.

1. Trying too hard to please him.

It sounds counter-intuitive, but doing everything you can to cater to your man’s every whim is NOT the way to make him happy.

Advice columnists are constantly reminding the women who write to them not to be doormats. Men like women they can respect.

That doesn’t mean dominating him or being stubborn --that’s a no-no, too -- but it means not bending over backwards to treat him like a king. It means when he asks if you could pick up his dry cleaning, and the cleaner’s is all the way on the other side of town and you have errands to run elsewhere, you say, “Oh, no, honey, I’m sorry! I’ll be on the other side of town all day!”

Women with backbones are attractive. Men like being pampered sometimes, too, of course, and obviously there are times when going the extra mile to be especially doting can be beneficial. But in day-to-day life, don’t become his slave or servant.

Be generous and affectionate; just don’t slobber all over him in your attempt to make him happy. You have to be your own person. If you become HIS person, he’ll get bored with you and stop respecting you as a human being.

2. Talking about ex-husbands or ex-boyfriends.

Men are already well aware of the fact that they have competition. They know there are 2.5 billion other men in the world and that you could dump your current flame and pick somebody else at a moment’s notice. They don’t need to be reminded of that fact by hearing constantly about your past romances.

Some background information is fine, of course. Men do like to know your situation, particularly if you were ever married. But going on and on about it can do little good.

If you speak overly fondly about your ex, your current partner will wonder why you didn’t just stay with him -- or, worse, think you’re planning to get back with the ex and are just using him as a placeholder. If you speak negatively of your ex, it will make your new lover paranoid. “Do I do these things?” he’ll ask himself. “Is she racking up a list of my offenses now so she can tell her next boyfriend about them?”

Men aren’t generally big on reminiscing anyway. Men’s minds are wired toward practicality and problem-solving, not taking strolls down memory lane. In other words, to put it bluntly, your past relationships are boring to him. Not only does it involve the past, it’s not even HIS past.

3. Acting too businesslike or too slutty.

Here’s where it gets complicated. Surveys of men show they don’t like it when a woman dresses too businesslike or “manly.” It makes them feel emasculated. They want women to be feminine and ladylike. But at the same time, if you dress TOO feminine and show too much skin, they think you’re cheap and won’t respect you.

When first meeting a man, choose outfits that are complimentary to your body -- you want to look good, of course -- without being too extreme in one direction or the other. Keep it simple, casual, and pretty. Don’t dress like you’re going to the office, and don’t dress like you’re going to a strip club.

4. Pressuring him to talk about his feelings or “define the relationship.”

Women like to have their relationships clearly defined, analyzed, and labeled. Are we “dating”? Is he my “boyfriend”? Are we just “seeing each other”? Men, on the other hand, like to know where they stand, too -- they just don’t like talking about it. At least not with you.

Men talk to their male friends about dating. They’ll explain the facts to their friends and get input from them about what your status is. Why not go right to the source -- i.e., you -- to find out? Because men resist emotionally charged situations and are especially afraid of being wrong. If the man thinks you’re his “girlfriend” when you only consider yourselves to be “dating,” he’ll be crushed to find out he’s overstated his position.

Pressuring your partner to talk about emotional things, particularly your relationships, will make him clam up. Save those talks for when it’s vital to the health of the relationship, not just when you’re feeling insecure and want some reassurance. In those times, follow his example and talk to your friends about it. They may have more insight into his feelings than he does anyway!

5. Trying to change him.

It doesn’t work. You can’t change anyone. But that doesn’t stop countless women from trying it all the time. The man’s reasoning is this: She fell for me because she likes me. But if she likes me, why is she trying to change me into something else?! And he has a good point. Some men are stubborn creatures sometimes, and no one, male or female, likes being forced to make changes. Let him be who he is. If who he is isn’t good enough for you, find a man who is.

First, as I mentioned in the opening paragraph, you need to be predictable. This goes against the common notion that you need to “stir things up” to keep the romance alive. Sure, going to a new restaurant or giving a surprise gift can be nice, but most of all, we need things to be consistent and steady in order to make our relationships work. Consider that trust in a relationship is built on being reliable day in and day out.

Next, you need to make sure that your words always match the message. This means that your partner needs to hear the words which match your body language. If you say you are happy but you are frowning, your partner doesn’t hear your words, he or she sees your face and the tone in your voice. Your parter needs to be able to trust what you are saying. When the words match the message, you build trust in a relationship.

Third, you need to have a fundamental belief in your partner’s competency. If you don’t you won’t have the trust in a relationship that you need. When lovingly communicated, the truth is never destructive. When you do not believe that your partner is competent at some things (or indeed, anything), you violate the trust in a relationship.

So I’ve been sitting here for the last 7 minutes in awe.

Why? Well, I’ve been looking at Facebook’s latest user-base statistics… and let me tell you something. They are absolutely staggering. As of right now…there are approximately over SIXTY-FIVE MILLION ACTIVE USERS!

Now, I don’t have to say this…but I’m going to anyways. This is a bloody gold mine for picking up women. But I’ll get to that a bit later…

I can’t even begin to imagine how hot those Facebook servers are running… because that is outrageous. Not only is their user-base absurd, but their growth has been just as despicable; 250, 000 new users every single day that passes…3% weekly growth…doubling in size every 6 months. Whew.

Apparently, according to this data, no one uses Facebook. End sarcasm!

We live in an era where almost everyone has one of these little accounts. It’s almost borderline necessary to have one of these accounts if you want to function “normally” in society… and I’ll prove it to you.

Let me tell you about one of my good buddies. His name was Andrew… and I bet everyone knows a guy like Andrew.

He HATED the whole Facebook/MySpace movement, claiming that he would never…ever…get a Facebook account. And yeah…when something is as ridiculously popular as Facebook, there are bound to be a good handful of downright HATERS.

But let’s face it. There’s one thing that’s absolutely guaranteed to piss people off. In fact, it’s a surefire way to alienate others and drive them away.

This is one thing within your control that’s absolutely certain to ruin a first impression.

Do you know what it is?
==> It’s not arrogance.
==> It’s not being loud or rude.
==> It’s not even your ugly Hawaiian t-shirt.

It’s bad breath. Foul-smelling breath is universally accepted as a negative trait. Nobody enjoys interacting someone who doesn’t keep their breath smelling fresh.

Maybe you’ve kissed a girl who just took a shot of tequila. Maybe you’ve visited a doctor who ate an onion sandwich for lunch and didn’t brush his teeth. Or maybe you just know someone who seems to always have bad breath.

In any case, I’m sure you’ve experienced how awful it can be. You cringe and fight to keep your distance from anyone with bad breath, but usually it’s unavoidable. You probably leave with negative thoughts about that person, wishing they would just brush their teeth more often.

The question is, are YOU that person? ;p

Most people with bad breath are completely clueless. After all, everyone hates bad breath, so nobody purposefully avoids brushing their teeth.

No, generally speaking people with bad breath have absolutely no idea. The key for you is to employ a few different strategies to ensure that you’re NEVER that person with the awful-smelling breath.

To begin with, you need to know how to test your breath. If you’re heading into an important meeting or out on a first date, you need to know whether or not your breath smells like cat food.

To do so, there’s really only one surefire test.

First, you need to thoroughly wash your hands. Once they’re dry, you need to lick the back of your hand. Yep, that’s right, you need to LICK your hand.

Once you’ve slobbered on it, take a big whiff of the back of your hand. If it smells a bit funky, then your breath probably smells a lot worse. If after a few sniffs you still can’t smell anything, then you’re probably in the clear. Once you’re finished this breath test you’ll probably want to wash your hands again....

Now that you know how to test for bad breath, how can you prevent it?

There are a number of things you can do to prevent and cure oral odors.

First, and very obviously, you should be brushing your teeth at least twice daily. I recommend brushing your teeth any time you leave the house, because this is one of the most effective ways of refreshing your breath.

Perhaps a bit more surprising, flossing is also very important. The buildup of plaque between your teeth can contribute to the growth of foul-smelling bacteria, so regular flossing is actually a major part of keeping your breath smelling pleasant.

If you aren’t already doing so, cleaning your tongue is absolutely crucial. Open your mouth and take a look in the mirror : you’ll see a layer of white gunk at the back of your tongue. Some of this is natural, and to be expected. But you should regularly scrape some of this crap off your tongue to reduce bacteria buildup.

There are tongue scrapers you can buy at your local drug store (beside the toothbrushes, usually). Or, if you’re really cheap like me, you can use a kitchen spoon. Starting from the back, gently pull the white gunk forward and off your tongue. Rinse the spoon or tongue scraper after every use. Remember, be gentle and be careful not to go too far back (or you’ll gag over the sink - not pleasant).

Chewing gum is hardly the answer to bad breath, but it can provide some relief. If you know you have bad breath, then a piece of gum is your new best friend. In addition to masking some of the bad odors, gum also activates your saliva glands. Having saliva in your mouth is an important factor in reducing bad breath.

If you opt to chew gum, don’t be too obvious about it. Some people, particularly older people, find chewing gum to be rude. Keep your mouth closed and your smacking to a minimum.

Another way to ensure that your breath is always fresh is to stay hydrated. And I mean stay hydrated ALL the time. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, and don’t let your mouth get too dry. As I mentioned, lack of saliva is a cause of bad breath. That’s why you often wake up in the morning with foul breath – your mouth is dry and you’re dehydrated.

Last but certainly not least, be smart about what you eat. Think ahead. If you’re going to be in an important business meeting or going on a date, don’t order that super spicy dish! Stay away from beer (and pretty much all booze), coffee, chocolate, onions, and other spicy foods.

If avoiding these things (particularly coffee and booze) is impossible, then be prepared. Keep a toothbrush and toothpaste in your office drawer or you car. At the very least, gargle with water a few times and chew a piece of gum. This can at least hide the odor of your most recent latté.

Some of these tips are common sense, but you simply must follow them all if you want to avoid driving others away with your bad breath. After all, nasty breath is the single most effective way of ruining a first impression – or any interaction!
